I simply take videos of those things best captured with a moving image, and photos of those subjects where a still is sufficient.

Silly voices inold films

They may sound "silly" to us now, but some people spoke like in real life. Not only does language itself change and evolve, but so do speech, intonation and pronunciation. The typical American accent, if there is such a thing, has some resemblance to that in the UK west country. Plymouth? Pity there were no sound recorders in Shakespeare's day as I suspect voices then would be even less intelligble to us than broad Glaswegian! This is a fascinating subject and I look forward to being able to delve into it more when next we meet.

I have an Amish question..... When did they stop embracing new technology? Surely a horse and cart or plough is a technology of some sort? Is it just electricity they 'reject'? Do they have flushing toilets? Do they refuse hospital treatment? I have plenty more silly questions but seeing as everyone can read this, maybe I'll leave it there ....!
