$21,000 B&O speakers, Rodeo Drive, CA
These were incredible. Cast iron base holding the woofer with three-way, vertically mounted, 180-degree mid and tweeter. They are self-adapting. At the press of a button, a little microphone will stick out on a rod to sample back a reference tone. The speakers will then adjust the incoming signal to match the acoustics of the room. The sound? Divine. It was like being at the front row of a rock concert: super loud without any distortion. It was like being on serotonin reuptake inhibitors: the musical elements separated out into their components in layers. It was like being in the room with the orchestra: you could pin-point the instruments within the stereoscopic field accurately. Just amazing. Best speakers I have ever tried.
